Skyline Drive-In

Phone: 270-973-5005

Driving Time from Cave City, KY: 41 minutes

The
Skyline Theater rings in at the top of our list and it's easy to see why. Vintage drive-ins are hard to find these days and offer comfortable, family entertainment under the starry sky. From March to November, this 1950s-style drive-in features popular box-office movies and older movie classics.

If you want to enhance your movie experience with a classic combination of buttery popcorn and a soda you can take advantage of Skyline's concession stand.  Skyline Drive-In relies on its food and drink sales to make a profit. If you want to bring outside food into the theater, management asks that you purchase a $5 Food Permit for your car

The Historic Plaza Theatre

Address: 2250 Pine Knob Rd, Caneyville, KY

Phone: 270-879-8190

Driving Time from Cave City, KY: 21 minutes

Located in the heart of Glasgow, KY, this local venue is used for bewitching musical theater performances, plays, concerts, local recitals, and graduations. Although the
Historic Plaza Theatre is a beloved part of the community, in the early 1990s, the competition from large movie theaters caused it to close.

In 2001, the theater was purchased by the city of Glasglow and fully restored thanks to donations, city funds, government grants, and contributions from individuals. The Historic Plaza Theatre stands today with a renewed sense of community and as a testament to the public’s love of theater and entertainment.

Barn Lot Theater

Address: 207 S Main St, Edmonton, KY

Phone: 270-432-2276

Driving Time from Cave City, KY: 32 minutes

Referred by some as a “gem tucked away in small-town Kentucky,” this red brick theater adds a personal touch to your play-watching experience. Making its debut back in the 1980s, the historic Barn Lot Theater began using remnants of a dilapidated barn and an adjacent feedlot for their venue, hence the appropriate name.

Located just 30 minutes from Cave City, the Barn Lot Theater also offers an ultimate Bingo Experience during the week as a fundraising opportunity for the Theater. With a small seating capacity of just over 100, The Barn Lot Theater provides an up-close experience for guests that can’t be beaten by big-name theaters and venues.
